LATEST NEWS

Hello to everyone

Had a meeting yesterday to firm up on the details of the reunion which is set for Saturday 20th June 2009.

The Bty have kindly offered to host it with input from the ABA.

A very brief layout of the event is as follows.

Friday evening (for those who want) meet at Claire & Jimmy's for some beers

Saturday - be at the Camp between 10:30 hrs and 11:00 hrs to be booked in. I will be at the gate to ensure there are no major problems. As last time security is tight and you may have trouble getting in if you do not let me know.  I need to know before the 12th June your Title, Full name, Vehicle colour, Make and Registration.  If you are bringing your wife, girlfriend or boyfriend their details also. Please bring some form of photo ID as well.

The basic size and shape will be very similar to two years ago, the main changes being the location of the evening event which is now in the newly refurbished Turtle Club I and an afternoon soccer match , RN vs. Army (Serving Bty Members) for the Booth Shield.  Start 1100; Coffee and welcome remarks by JJK; Briefing by BC and others on past and future activity, and maybe a RANGSO NGS item; Around 1230 short Memorial service at the Memorial Stone; Photo; Drinks and lunch - curry and paper plates! Repeat briefings as required. There will be various static displays of kit throughout the day and the indoor trainers, Invertron etc will be fired up. The History Room bar will be in operation.  Around 1600 the Booth Shield will be competed for and around 1800 or maybe earlier we will withdraw to the Turtle Club where there will be drinks and a buffet, there will be a small charge for the buffet. The wet weather programme is waterproof gear!

Sunday - midday tears and handshakes in the Antelope

I will be keeping you all in touch as things pan out or change.
