Welcome

Welcome to the new official home of the Commando Gunner Association (CGA). The CGA has been in existence for a number of years in one form or another, some more succesful than others it must be said. This is a determined attempt to take the CGA into the 21st century and to provide a living document that will develop over time and provide interesting articles and information that is relevant to the thousands of Commando Gunners, serving and retired around the world. That is not an easy thing to achieve without the support and input from members of the association. It is my intention to produce a simple, easy to navigate site that fully encompasses the geographical spread and diversity of the membership. Rather than trying to recreate a number of established related sites it will provide links to them.

I have included our Committee and their contact details, it is an aspiration for us all to work electronically in order to reduce prohibitive postal charges but I am willing to accept articles by post if that is necessary. Membership is available to any rank who has served at any time as a Commando Gunner and all that is required is for you to send an email to the Membership Secretary, chrisprice@citadelfinancialsolutions.co.uk.  There is no membership fee or joining subscription.

Our Charter is attached and was agreed at the AGM on 8th December 2007. It defines the purpose for which we exist and the rules we operate under. My aim as Chairman is to raise the profile of the CGA and ensure that it develops, in line with the Charter, to become a valuable source of information and interest as well as promoting comradeship and support for those who need it.
